The chicken parm hero arrived as a messy open faced sandwich which doesn't make any sense to me. It is impossible to eat and you end up having to use a fork and knife which I would never normally do for a sandwich. I would not order this item again.

Used to order from here on a weekly basis, about 6 months ago dealt with a 2 hour delivery disaster...Decided to give them another chance tonight. Food was 20 minutes late, burger and fries were cold and soggy, chicken fingers were so dry (and cold) that I tossed them straight in the trash. Terrible. Took over an hour to have the food arrive and they lie about what comes with the food all the time. It says curly fries, it shows up with soggy regular fries. Mashed potatoes comes with vegetables instead etc. Worst place ever, wont be ordering again.

I am giving this 4 stars for the food I wanted. I ordered the hand breaded fried chicken strips which were very good. Now if they come with fries (THEY DO) tell us this when we order so we dont order an additional side. I ordered a side of rice pilaf. I got a serving of yellow rice. Sorry, I know what rice pilaf is, and this was NOT RICE PILAF. I ended up ditching that. 3$ in the trash. I did like the strips though, lightly battered and fresh. The delivery was fairly what they said, about 25 minutes, and it is raining today so not bad.

Took an hour and 15 minutes to deliver after saying it would take 25-40. I called after 40 minutes had gone by and they said it was on its way. Called 30 minutes later and they still said it was on its way. Finally arrived after an hour and 15 minutes. Food wasn't very hot.

My order was confirmed at 6:21 PM, with a 25-40 minute delivery time estimate. It's 7:58 and I am still waiting. I called at the one-hour mark and the woman yelled at me, and told me I should have known to order an hour ahead of time because "the computer time isn't accurate." (As it happens, given my current 87 minute wait, neither is she.) She told me to plan better next time. I will! (And it's too bad. Still two stars because I like that you can buy an entire box of Honey Bunches of Oats from Sherwood. But I don't like being yelled at for asking reasonable questions either. That's what my mom is for.)

They have no respect for the customer. Ive been buying for years, I ordered a salt bagel, and they sent a plain bagel...and they never gave me an option for another bagel type. So I called them, and they made me wait for an answer.....and send me another bagel. I am waiting....and I am very hungry. They really have no idea about customer satisfaction or service. Over the years I must have spent thousand of dollars with them, not because they are so good, but because they are the only option in my neighberhood....so I am stuck....unfortunately.

Sandwhiches are OK but the wild card is if they send you the right sandwhich. One out of five time they send you something completely different than what you ordered. This time they sent carrots instead of a sandwich.

The food here wouldn't be bad (maybe even good) if it had actually arrived when expected. I was given a 20-40 min estimate, and didn't get my food until nearly 2 hours later. After about 1.5 hours I called to find out where my food was and was told it had already left, but they didn't know when it would arrive. Needless to say, when it finally showed up 20 mins later, it wasn't in the best state. My grilled cheese was soggy and congealed, and the accompanying fries equally soggy with the added bonus of being cold. The sandwich had all the right flavors, and I really think it would have been quite good IF it had actually arrived fresh, but given the state it was in and the ridiculous wait time, I won't be ordering from Sherwood again.

These guys always make great food. i live across the streer from them and order late at night 2-3 times a week, always fast delivery and the food is quality. Try the hero sandwich, you wont be disappointed.

Ordered a Rueben Sandwich, received confirmation with delivery time 20-40 min. Called 1hr later and I was told the order left already. Called back 20 min.. same thing. 5 min later I received my COLD Rueben on a mushy bread.

This is the first time I've ever had to call somewhere to ask about my food. Granted it came about 5 minutes after I called, but that was still 25 minutes outside the delivery window. My chicken tenders were barely crispy and were very dry. The fries that came with were soggy and the onion rings I got were obviously the frozen, bagged ones. Overall disappointing.

Everything would have been fine of they had placed the bread above the steak when packing my food, but because they didn't when it arrived it was so soggy it was hardly edible. The milkshake and delicious curly fries along with the swift delivery time made up for that big error, though.

NOW I see in all the reviews that it's fallen off but somehow still has five stars? Update: It's not been an hour and 20min for the supposed lunch special and STILL NO FOOD. Ordered at 11:20am. It's now 1:05pm and I have still not received it. Have called twice, they just tell me I should have it soon. I have no idea how good the food is obviously, so I can't speak to that. It doesn't really matter how good it is if you have to wait two hours to get it! Will most certainly not order from them again.

I loved this place. Ordered from here frequently... until one day. I ordered a salad one night with my meal and saved my salad for lunch the next day. I was almost done eating my salad when my fork hit something hard... it was a SCREW!! A dirty, black screw was in my salad!!! I have never seen anything more weird, bizzare and unappealing before. Sherwood to go changed it's name from Sherwood Fine Foods for a reason, I suppose.

The food arrived 1 1/2 hours and it was so soggy it was almost inedible. The sweet potato fries were the consistency of noodles and the lettuce on the BLT was so wilted it was turning brown. Very disappointing.

I had grilled salmon with rice and vegetables from here. The salmon was grilled to perfection, and was well done per my instructions. The rice and vegetables were tasty and not mushy at all. The delivery was prompt. I really liked the food.

They delivered my food to my building without a name on it, so it took over 2 hours for me to get my food. I can't even tell you how long it was sitting downstairs for me to pick it up. All I know is that by the time I got my panini, it was soggy, cheese was congealed and everything was luke warm. How disappointing. I ordered from here because it had top ratings and was supposed to be quick. So much for getting my food in 20-40 min.

Ordered breakfast. Not good at all. Lumpy grits, bacon not throughly cooked, greasy eggs. And the delivery person managed to flip the plate on it's side so all the food was stacked up on top of each other. Won't order from here again.

Sherwoods serves up some solid comfort food - but servings of meat are much too small for the prices being charged. For example, I ordered a two pork chop entree and received two small pork medallions that together are less than one pork chop. Same thing with steak, absolutely tiny cut for a high entree price.

terrible! First the guy went to the wrong spot and kept calling over and over when i already answered and told him I was on my way down. I'm at work it's not instantaneous. Secondly food was cold! Thirdly I asked for well done eggs..and not poached...surprise I got poached...if I could give a negative star I would...really ticked off never using them again!

Shocked this place got so many good reviews. My food came cold - granted I live 8 blocks away - but if you can't deliver it hot in some way, you probably shouldn't deliver this "far." The food was delivered within the estimated time frame however my cheese omelet was paper thin - looked like two eggs and some Kraft singles that weren't even fully melted. Fries were ok, but cold, so they just ended up being soggy. Same with the English Muffin (cold, soggy) but it was DRENCHED in butter to the point that I had to sop up butter with a paper towel. The food is comparable to that of an amusement park cafeteria or somewhere you know it's not going to be too terrible but in no way good either.

Food was delivered in 80 min instead of 25-40. Corned beef sandwich was mediocre: not very generous on the meta, too salty and no mustard was included. Pickle was not fresh. Not recommended. The best for traditional deli sandwiches in midtown Manhattan is Sarge's, or if you keep Kosher, Kosher Deluxe.

Sherwood has standard deli fare at a decent price. Food tastes good and delivery is usually about 30 minutes. Would have gotten 5/5 except that their fries are often under cooked and they recently added sandwich "optional" toppings for standard condiments. For example, you want lettuce on your sandwich? Fork up another $.50. Really? On a $7 sandwich you're going to charge me $1 extra for lettuce and onions. No thanks.

Over an hour delivery time. Called the place and ask, the reason they gave me is because i'm on Madison ave and they're on 3rd. ave. Listen i got places from 39th and 3rd, told me 40 min for delivery and they made it. I'm not sure if i'll be coming back.

I've ordered from Sherwood's for years. But at this point, I'm SO tired of the screwed up orders and the bad attitudes from their staff that I'm ordering less and less from them. Tonight again, they totally messed up half of my order, and when I called to let them know, I was put on hold for several minutes, then the girl got back on the phone and actually ASKED IF I WANTED THE OMELETTE MADE AGAIN! I was pretty disappointed in this place. I ordered the steak, rare. The side vegetables looked really greasy and wilted. The steak was rare at least but really fatty and stringy. They also only provided a regular plastic knife instead of a sharper plastic knife, which makes no sense for a steak. Other things at this place might be good, but I would definitely not recommend the steak. This order made for a very sad little dinner at the office.

Seamless said delivery should take about 25-40 mins. I literally live two blocks away. the delivery took over an hour and 20 mins. When I called to ask where my order was, the person on the phone was the rudest person ever. To Sherwood: There are way to many other restaurants in the city for me to be bothered with ordering from you again.

Service is absolutely terrible. Food is decent enough for what it is (basic diner fare), but their deliveries are consistently half an hour up to an hour late and the people at the restaurant are extremely rude and disrespectful when you call to ask where your order is. Overall not remotely worth the hassle of waiting 90+ minutes for basic food that plenty of other restaurants can deliver in half the time and without the attitude.

The food here is good for what it is and reasonably priced, but the service is spotty at best. Have ordered here many times and every third or fourth time the food arrives 30-45 minutes late and the restaurant is extremely rude about it when asked and does nothing to make it right. I have given them a number of chances to fixed this, but after having this happen five or six times over a few month period I am taking my business elsewhere and would encourage others to as well. There are other places with similar food (e.g. Midtown Restaurant) that may be a few dollars more but are worth it to have your food actually arrive when it is supposed to.

Estimated delivery time is more like 45mins to 1 hour. I ordered a toasted sesame bagel with butter and never got it, although i paid extra for it. Instead, I got barely toasted (soft) white bread, pre-buttered (at least the butter was salted). I ordered the 24oz. homemade iced tea, it comes Unsweetened. The only thing I don't like about that is that they only provided 4 packs of measly sugar, that's not cutting it. They should at least gave me 7 packets. The food was ok nothing amazing, I just wish I got my bagel. Delivery is super slow. If I were to order again I will have to make notes to them to remember to pack everything I ordered and confirm it by calling them to remind them again. I shouldn't have to do that but you get what you pay for.

I dont understand the hype. Although it's one of the more convenient establishments, I often wait too long for simple orders because they are trying to make as many deliveries to the same area/building at once holding up my order. Waited 43 mins once for 2 bottles of juice and cold french fries.

Can't been sherwood for a late night snack. They are open 24 hours and have the best greasy meals for when you want to splurge. I love the grilled cheese and the onion rings. Meals come quickly and hot!

The food is good and delivery is usually prompt. I like it because its like a diner and they have pretty much anything you can think of. My favorite is the buffalo style hand dipped chicken fingers!

The food itself isn't bad, but the service is terrible. The wait said 25 - 40 minutes and it took more than an hour and a half. They have done nothing to make up for this.

As close to a grocery store as you can get when you just can't deal with another take-out restaurant, though it has that too if you need it. I browse 80% of the time and almost always come back to Sherwood.

The party is over. I was a long time customer enjoying good and generous entrees and very reasonable prices with most times everything perfect. However over the last three orders food has come cold, roasted chicken anorexic, side dishes invisible and items left out. Tonight was the last straw. The salmon salad which was always the standard portion size was now smaller than a their side salad. I was told they needed to change the size because of costs. If this was the case they should have brought the cost down to the $6.99. I pay for that same size 4 blocks away from them at lunch!

The food is ok but the phone receptionist is very rude. The order was half an hour late and she was very impatient and doens't listen to the customer. They don't deserve such a high rating because of the staff.

Food is always great and delivered correctly and on time. I love their Portobello Mushroom soup and Chicken Noodle Soup - portion is huge. Other favorites are baked penne, grilled cheese, turkey sandwich (made exactly to my specifications), open faced hot turkey sandwich. Price, taste and delivery A++

Delivery got here in about 30-35 minutes (had estimated 25-40) and didn't have a problem calling up, as I'd asked. Fries were really soggy, but I should've known better -- no hot food wrapped in foil will stay crisp that long. I added a modifier to my sandwich I didn't get. Instead of the bagel I chose, I got bread. Not toast...bread. They charged me for the bagel, though.

the $8 salad had barely any lettuce, the chicken was too chewy and not cut so hard to manage in a salad. they overloaded with cheese and corn and barely any tomatoes or avocados. not satisfied.

LUV!!! they are so fast!!! however, they sometimes don't get the order right, when ordering brown sugar on my oatmeal, they include a packet of raw sugar, not the same. wish they also had walnuts to add. but, overall they are a good restaurant, that is reliable. Good basic food!

I'm not sure how simple Pancakes and Bacon can be wrong. The pancakes tasted like cornmeal. They were cold also. There was supposed to be whipped cream in the order, which I paid extra for, and it wasn't there. Only 3 packs of sugar for a large coffee were in the box. Breakfast is such an easy meal, the fact that it wasn't as order is very poor.

Having now ordered several wonderful late-night meals, I can state without reservation that Sherwoods is an excellent choice. Their pastas have been tasty, the fruit fresh, and the salads crisp even in the middle of the night.

Excellent sandwich and fastest delivery in Manhattan! Delivery arrived in 10 minutes FLAT! I created my own sandwich and they followed my special directions perfectly, might I suggest a: Chicken cutlet on Whole Wheat (toasted) with roasted peppers, picante mayo, jack cheese, and lettuce. AMAZING!

Horrible! I had read the reviews about what great food this restaurant had. However, the cuban panini I ordered was terrible. The bread was stale and hard, the sandwich was not pressed, the pork looked like it was recooked over and over, the fries weren't curly as advertised, there was no pickle and no mayo dressing inside. I guess I just happened to order the worst thing on the menu.

Sherwoods has excellent delivery time, but when it comes to following simple instructions for an order, they are the worse out there. Ask for any substitution or anything to be taken out of your order and they are guaranteed to screw it up royaly.
